Basically this allows for the noise-free transmission of data in your digital playback system. The newer version costs about $2600. One caveat - I really do not remember how this all hooks up so I am selling it without any support from me to get it all up and running - the internet is your friend. It was operating well when I disassembled it. Only reason for selling is I have gone to a much more expensive Baetis system. Includes optical Rendu, optical module, 2 power supplies, 7 meter optical-ethernet wire and a couple of other interconnecting wires.
