Up for sale is a pair of Merlin VSM speakers. These are for local  pickup only.  I am located in the Baltimore metropolitan area.  The drivers are in great condition and sound wonderful (I am currently listening to them).  There some issues with the cabinets and the BAM, but nothing that diverts from their performance.  First, the BAM (bass augmentation module) operates on a battery or direct AC.  The battery is dead so it only operates on AC.  Second, there are two chips on the top of one speaker (pictured), and at the bottom of the other speaker, the screw thread for the three feet is broken (also pictured).  If you’re handy I imagine this could be fixed (I still have the screw thread).  The feet still work, just in a different position.  I had been using two feet in the front and one in the back, but now I use two in the back and one in the front.  My old ears did not notice and change in sound.   These are still great speakers, have a wonderful tweeter and present a great soundstage.  I am only asking $450.  Thanks

Thank you for that information Robert.  As a Merlin I do know of Rich Brkich.  He and Bobby made quite a team. I have someone coming to look at the speakers tomorrow.  If that doesn’t work I may give you a call, if that’s ok.  Thanks again.
