I have a bit of a "speaker problem" and love 2 way speakers. I bought these from a friend, (knowing I have too many speakers) but I couldn't pass them up. You will be AMAZED at the bass output from the Scan-Speak 8545 woofer in this enclosure. No sub needed... at least not for me. I'm working on another project now and need to free up some space.
They are in great shape... I can't find any blemishes.
These are extremely well built. Quite frankly, I don't know how Odyssey sells them for the price they do. When I considered buying these, I asked my buddy to please check the crossovers... to see if it really did have the top shelf parts, aka "Kismet crossovers". They do. A panel on the bottom of the speaker is removable, and you'll see pictures of the crossover / parts. If you have experience with high quality crossover parts, you'll notice the parts cost alone for these speakers is more than the asking price. The sound from these is relaxed and fatigue free... you can listen for hours on end.
I do have the original boxes (see picture). These are not lightweight speakers and I'd like to avoid shipping them. Odyssey notes weight at 95lbs each, and I can attest to that... they are a heavy, well built 2-way speaker with top shelf parts.
