BAX-2
« on: 2 Oct 2024, 06:13 am »

When will the BAX-2 become available?

As this supports the new sub-woofers does this mean it provides 8 channels instead of the 6 that the BAX-1 has?

TIA

Shaun

Hi Shaun

Yes we are close to releasing it - just waiting for some parts.

Hi James;

In a scenario where the new sub towers are added to a system already consisting of, say, T-10s, does the BAX-2 replace the BAX-1? That's what the rear panel diagram seems to imply.

I would guess so…

Where should the sub-woofers be positioned?

Should they placed next to the main speakers?

I think we could use the BAX 2 as a universal but it would be more expensive than the BAX1.

I would say we will have a lot of flexibility in sub placement.
The bass below 150 is being shared between the Mains and the Sub Towers.
The idea is that as the bass is slowly removed from the Mains the Sub Towers take over.
I have to say the number of drivers operating through the bass range is really impressive.
You feel the low bass rather than hear it.

James,

I am fascinated by this concept and would to love hear a demonstration.

I know that Bryston loudspeakers are not available in the UK, but do any of your distributors sell them in continental Europe?

Hi Shaun

The only place in Europe so far is Norway.

Is the Bax specifically programmed for Bryston loudspeakers or can I do my own measurements and configure it for my own?
