One of Yamaha's all time great affordable amplifiers. Old school quality, brought up to date and done right.
Bought as factory refurbed from an authorized dealer about 2 years ago, installed in my office system and never moved. Absolutely mint condition.

3 digital inputs, 5 analog plus phono. 2 sets of speakers, subwoofer outputs.
Lots of features.

To summarize review:
"The Yamaha A-S801 is an honestly rated 100 watt/ch integrated amplifier with a built in high resolution USB-B DAC to power a serious dedicated two-channel or upscale PC system with pristine fidelity."
Measured continuous output, both channels driven, was around 105 watts/channel for 8 ohms and 185 watts/channel for 4 ohms, with under 0.01% THD+N and much higher short term readings.

The buzz is true. I have two of these in my systems, powering hard to drive high resolution speakers (Avalon Opus, Revel M16, Revel Ultima Gems), and they just deliver in spades.
My former front end were well known performers that cost about $6000. I decided to simplify and bought my first 801 as a temporary measure, but I decided the improvement switching to the old stack was small enough that it wasn't worth the huge cost difference to me. The 801 simply sounded great no matter what the material. This was using my demanding Avalons. I did the same in my 2nd system, driving Revel Gems at the time.
I found I needed to spend multiples of my price to get some margin of improvement, and of course, Yamahas are built to last and last for decades, which can't always be said for boutique products.
Includes remote.
$999 plus tax new, refurbs available for $700 plus tax. Absolute bargains, imo, but mine is 40- 55% below those prices for an excellent unit.
Excellent condition - it works flawlessly.
I'm reconfiguring one system and one of my amps must go.
$50 discount for cash local pickup in Seattle and no tax, of course. Free shipping applies to cont. US only. Price is firm.
Thanks for having a look!
