HELP! Super V sub and Coax wiring
« on: 3 Oct 2025, 07:23 pm »
(Please forgive the separate thread, I'll roll this info in with my SV build thread, but I think this will get better-specific attention in the forum as a separate post)

As I'm finishing my Super V build I'm approaching the wiring phase. I've searched the forum and reviewed/read literally a hundred++  threads (no exaggeration) on various speaker builds.  There were, some years ago when the Super Vs were an actively-offered kit, a number of good threads on the details of the Super V wiring. I searched for those threads a few months back and it appears the threads still exist, but all the photos are gone.

I do have a copy of the subs/plate amps wiring from back then(see below) and thanks to the captainhemo sticky on sub wiring, I think I'm good with respect to wiring the subs.

The portion that I need help with is the amp>crossover>four COAX terminals  (I purchased the coax and finished xovers very-slightly used from a forum member.)

Question 1: Below is the rear of one of the coax drivers.  I'm assuming the small posts on the back of the magnet are the tweeter posts and the larger posts mounted on the frame below are for the midrange portion of the coax. Yes?

Question 2: See the xover photo-notes below.  Where does the short white wire coming off the Sonicap go?

Question 3: See the xover photo-notes below.  Where does the short wire coming off the center, vertical coil go?

Question 4: See the xover photo-notes below.  Where do the longer twisted red(comes off the Sonicap) & white(comes off the Jupiter cap) wires go?  Is Red(+) & white (-)?

Question 5: The two foot+ long leads that leave the photo on the lower left, are they the amp power in leads?. Red (+), White (-)?

Question 6: Are the wiring schemes for both crossover identical? (perhaps a silly question, but I don't want to assume anything, given that I know next to nothing about this part of the build)

I do have a schematic for the Super V, though I'm not sure if it's OK to post it.

Thank you so much for any help you can offer.

Questions answered.

Fre11111 (Frederick del Rosario) of the the xover assembly sticky above was gracious enough to help me sort things out. No doubt this was a no-brainer for him, but anything is easy if you know how.  Electronics like this are new to me.  (If anyone needs to understand styrene-acrylic polymer chemistry..shoot me a PM)

It all makes sense now.  THANK YOU! Frederick.
