SOLD This great sounding preamplifier model is no longer available from Bottlehead. It has been upgraded with: Elna stepped attenuators; Elna selector switch; Mundorf Silver/Gold capacitors; converted to use 6SN7 tubes. The preamp uses solid state rectification. The center tube is a 12au7 configured as a dual mono hybrid shunt regulator. 3 inputs; 2 outputs. Natural Bamboo Base.
This Foreplay has been converted to use better-sounding 6sn7 tubes, but it can be easily converted back to use 12au7 tubes, if desired, by changing one resistor. Will be well packaged and come with the 12AU7 shown and a different set of 6SN7s. 6SN7s are still easy to find and affordable, for tube rolling.
Sent to Paul Bottlehead for check-up in late '22 - now back with clean bill of health.
