spent a few days with OPA134P and find it to be a big improvement over the 5534.

i also received Muses02 and the aforementioned LME49720.  but, i can only confirm that this preamp doesn't work with dual op amps.  a bummer especially since some have reported to use it fine.  and, some ads on ebay/ali have 6010D preamps using dual op amps and some use 5534/5532 mix.

So I received the dual to single op amp adapters and can confirm they work.

I first installed a pair of the Muses02 in the 2 op amp position near the front of the preamp.  This resulted in a warmer sweeter sound.  The 1543 dac I have is already warm and sweet but adding the Muses02 didn't bloat or over sweeten.  It provided a more layered warmth instead.  I really like this sound.

I then installed 4 pieces of the LME in the 4 op amp positions in the square pattern replacing 4 pieces of OPA134P.  This resulted in a subdued sound.  Perhaps too dark with the 1543 dac.  I switched to a Monarchy 1704 dac and this is a much better pairing.  It has an intimate but bigger, detailed, airy sound.

I like the LME/1704 sound but I prefer the 1543/OPA134P's sweet sweet tone.

Just received a Truth preamp a few days ago.  Did a quick comparo and my wife said the clone sounds better.

Since you have 5534/32 laying around, you might want to experiment with "pararelling" two on top of each other.
In the youtube video below, I was shocked to hear how 5532 sounded the worst to me, but paralleled 5532 sounded one of the best, even among very pricy discrete op amps

hi Jon.

i damaged too many things with my soldering iron... have you tried doing this?

i do like the muses 02 the most but i heard it thru my tv speakers.

the parallel 5532 probably came in second.

I did just place an order for Fosi V3 monoblocks on Kickstarter.   If I don't change my mind (too many amps already), I will piggyback NE5532 together.  This idea is apparently a scientific, legit idea, and Burr-Brown even had a document about it.

Hi ! judging from this lab report here    https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/the-truth-pre-amp-review.23815/   not the more transparent line stage around
Speaking of the original MBL preamp Stereophile carried out also some measurements   https://www.stereophile.com/content/mbl-6010-d-preamplifier-measurements
I have the impression that this clone could be a good bench for testing some opamps combinations

got the townshend allegri for a few weeks.  currently, i prefer it over the clone.  allegri is airier, softer more expansive making the clone more traditional sounding.  it took awhile for me to adjust to allegri's sound but currently prefer it.

Isn't Allegri autoformer passive preamp?  Hard to beat that with a bunch of opamps..

if it were the 5534 then it's no competition the allegri is definitely the winner.  currently the clone is populated with muse02 and bb/ti and the sound is very good, very close in enjoyable-ness to the allegri.  the allegri just has a different perhaps slightly better presentation.  i can go either way really depending on cables and front end.  further proves what a good deal the clone is after a bit of tweaking.
