Hi!
I'm an audiophile (and I have no plans to stop this addiction).
Recently I upgraded my Primare I20 integrated amplifier to a pre/amp combo: NuPrime AMG PRA/AMG STA and that was just awesome.
Previous upgrades were the replacement of a Bluesound Node 2i with a Lumin U1 mini and a R2R Soekris dac 1421 (FLAC files on a NAS).
I'm also listening to CD's via a Primare D20 (CD's).
Speakers are some 20+ years old Proac 1SC.
Interconnects are Nordost Red Dawn and Cardas Golden Reference XLR for the pre/amp. Speaker cables are Nordost.
My wife and me started listening (with surprise, ... and joy) to many small details that were buried in the mix of our CD and FLAC files (like the movement of the pedal of a piano, fainted voices coming from the musicians during the performance, etc).
Those details give a better idea of the room where the performance/recording happened.
Now, the rig has pondus, speed and detail without being harsh or causing fatigue. Became a very balanced and "musical" combination.
It looks like a pair of bridged AMG STA raise the bar even a bit further (stay tuned

).
Greetings
Alberto
