Charney Audio Maestro Tractrix Horns with Omega RS7 drivers in beautiful solid Cherry and black.
I purchased these from Charney in Fall 2016 as demos. The cabinet is the original Maestro and was specifically designed for the Omega RS7 driver. A solidly built all wood work of art! I previously owned a number of Omega speakers and the Maestro leaves them in the dust! Bass, detail, superb pin point imaging, and 3D presence. Bring the musicians into your room. The knock on single driver horns is they don’t deliver bass. Not the case with Charney Audio horns. The tractrix designed cabinet delivers bass when set up properly in a room. The design “couples” with the room and bass is adjusted simply by moving the speaker further or closer to the back wall. Many a friend has asks “where’s the sub” and sit in disbelief at the sound quality.
They sound great on tubes and solid state. Owned by an experienced audiophool and never driven hard. Selling for about 1/3 of what I paid for them.
There are no binding posts or speaker wire installed. Speaker wire is soldered directly to the speaker tabs. I do have a 10’ pair of Vampire wire I can install which will give about 7’ of use. Buyers choice.
Maestros are in good shape no scratches or cracks only one small ding on the front of one cabinet shown in pics.
