I am extremely tempted to buy the newish Zu Druid Mk IV. $2800 will be nearly impossible to slip by my wife. But she has been clamoring for upgrading our new home theater setup to surround sound and for that I need to buy two more speakers.

Does anyone think I stand a chance of pulling off buying the Druids and calling them my new surround speakers?

I already have conditioned her to accept the idea that no surrounds that I install will be permanently affixed (to walls, etc) but will be put in place when we watch movies (that would benefit from surrounds).

I have been lifting weights lately so that moving their 60 lbs each mass into place once or twice a week won't be too bad.

On a practical note, will they work out at all given that all I have for L,R right now is a pair of VMPS RM40s? Or will the 101 dB sensitivity just be to much to fit in?
