Hi, I finally joined Audiocircle after years of reading random posts. I'm looking for wisdom about distributed bass arrays for room tuning, DIY solid state Class A power amps, special speaker designs that work with rooms (e.g. those built by James Romeyn), classic gear modification, and other topics. Great to be here, looking forward to chatting with you all.

Welcome!

Duke LeJeune, who invented the "Swarm" and "Late Ceiling Splash" recommended that I add late ceiling splash tweeters to my floor standing 8 inch single driver loudspeakers which improved mid/high frequency response and widened the soundstage.  The tweeters consisted of 1 1/8 inch soft domes laying on the floor directly behind the loudspeakers, connected in parallel with a capacitor.

Have read both editions of Floyd Toole's "Sound Reproduction" where he pushes the concept of multiple subwoofers to even out inherent bass peaks/dips, among other concepts.

Spoke with Earl Geddes, another renowned acoustician, who pushed me to join the multiple sub club.  Ended up with (3) 10 inch subwoofers in my well designed/dedicated listening room (that not surprisingly is very similar to Earl's room).

I’m new to the forum as well.  I’ve enjoyed audio even as a young kid when I would go to the land fill and try to rebuild the electronic components I found.  Once you catch the bug it doesn’t go away.
