A little over a year ago I purchased a reconditioned Bryston 4BST that was a traded through a dealer. It was sent back to the Peterborough facility for a thorough refreshing. The unit itself still had a year of warranty left. I was also told I would have an additional 5 years of warranty, providing I did not resell the unit.
Is it my understanding that Bryston has since discontinued this program?
If so, what were the reasons? The program seems like a very good idea at the time.
Am I right to assume that my extended warranty will still be valid?

i purchased a 4BSST the same way you did.

The receipt provided indicated the added five years of warranty beyond the 20 years from date of manufacture.
