Best Sounding CD version of Depeche Mode
« on: 5 Jun 2022, 11:21 am »
Hi: I like the 'spacy' sound of Depeche Mode and I just heard (streamed)the album Violator and it sounds good, especially the song "Halo".
What other album should I check out for some good sound? Thanks! :D

DM had a pretty remarkable sound change. The 80s DM was catchy electronic pop. The 90s went to that dark lush sound. I did not like the 80s DM, and I love the 90s and later DM.

So if you like Halo, the albums you want to try, in my order of preference, are Violator, Exciter, Ultra, and Songs of Faith and Devotion.

I think the song I like(Halo) is from their Violator album,(CD)
I will try the 4 you mentioned.Thanks,Huck
