Alternative to the X-On Wall surround

Folks, I've built many of Danny's kits over the years. I recently built two pair of the X-Walls for my Daughter's theater. I recently moved and need to set-up the theater in my new home and it doesn't seem the availability of tweeters is going to resolve itself anytime soon.

Question is, is there a way to replicate the X-Wall design using available components. Danny could you supply another tweeter and develop a crossover for it as you often do for other designs sent to you?

Another thought was if the LGK driver would work in the wedge configuration of the X-Wall. I know it may not be happy in a sealed enclosure but you don't really need bass extension in the surrounds.  And there isn't a lot of dimensional information on the driver but it may be a bit large for that enclosure. But it sure seems like it would be a great application for a full range driver.

Next... my fronts are a pair of Tekton Ulfberhts. The tweeters for those are available. I could build a pair of X-walls with those units and then have you develop a crossover for them and perhaps keep similar voicing. And expanding on that, build a wedge box, mount Ulfberht tweeter and midrange and send it to Danny. But the B&C driver Eric uses in the Ulf doesn't look like it would be very happy in a small sealed enclosure.

Well there you go... Thanks for any input. Especially from you Danny. If you are interested at all, and want to talk it through, let me know and I'll give you a call. And I'm in Austin. Might even come up and visit if that helps any.

Finally Danny, you sent me your new speaker wires two weeks ago. I am very impressed with the sound. They are connected between my Lyngdorf and the Tektons and are a definite upgrade to the sound.

Rather than design a custom one off model for you that might get a bit pricey, I would recommend to hang in there. New tweeters will be here soon.

OK. I'll hang in there for a while Danny. That would certainly be the best solution.
