Good Morning,
Just an introduction as a new member here. Two channel audio is one of my passions as a music lover and one who enjoys quality sound. I especially enjoy restoring older gear and generally stay with Hafler and Dynaco. My first "real" amplifier was a Hafler DH500 I put together as a kit back in '84. In 2002 I modified it with aftermarket PCB boards from a popular vendor. I've since had several DH200's and 220's but the 500 has been the backbone of my system all along. About 20 years ago I built a Transcendent Sound Grounded Grid tube preamp to mate with the 500. Last year I overhauled a Dynaco ST-70 that is now first in the rotation...love those tubes.
As a Covid/winter project I've slowly been refreshing a pair of 220's. I guess I've been a loyal David Hafler fan since my younger days and always enjoyed the simplicity and reliability of his good sounding designs.
