Hello all, Jeff here.   Long time audiophile and speaker builder.  My curtent endeavor is construction of the X-Statics with upgraded xover parts. 



My system consists mostly of upgraded vintage gear from brands:  VPI HW-19, GAS (pre and amp), Sumo (amp), Sony (SACD), JolidIa (phono pre), Morrow cables.  I am a long time wood worker and designer.  I love to tinker/modify.  Background is engineering (retired).  My pride build/design is my Isolation equipment rack using a unique 'mass loaded' design along with individual 'sand-box' shelving and corian platforms.  Main wood is Zebra.  Design/build time was approx. 11 mos.

Welcome Jeff.  Nice equipment rack :thumb:  Most of us love to follow along on peoples builds.  I would love to see pics of the build as it comes along.  I too love to tinker and build things.  I am not retired...but getting close.  I too have a nice wood shop and a nicely equipped metal shop where projects get built.  I too am an engineer so you are definitely in the right place!

Only in audiophile world can you tell someone they have a nice rack and not get punched in the mouth.
