New gear is always fun!
« on: 11 Feb 2022, 03:08 am »
Last weekend it seemed like my 11-year-old BDP-1 had seen better days. Nobody on this forum could offer any suggestions that worked to fix the problem. So, what to do? Why, buy new stuff of course! On Monday morning I pulled the trigger on a new BDP-3 and a BDA-3. They arrived this morning (Thursday) and I spent the afternoon changing them out and setting them up in my system. Right out of the boxes, WOW! I’m sure after some break-in time they will sound even better. Is that what you guys have experienced? How long do you think it took for the new gear to settle in?

This is the first time in 2 1/2 years that I’ve gotten new equipment. To say I’m really excited is an understatement! I’m still recovering from spinal surgery, so this new addition is a welcome event to help me take my mind off all the pain and rehab. I just wanted to share my excitement with you all.

Not fun when you can't figure them out (old fart computer related frustrations).

Thanks, Jeff. I appreciate it.

James, thank you for the message. I plan a full weekend of listening to my new equipment!

JLM, Computer frustration is something we share! Fortunately, setup was pretty easy this time around.
