$2,300.00

I bought these speakers from the original owner about two years ago and they remain in excellent condition. I am very conservatively grading them an 8 because of some very slight discoloration in the laminate due to sunlight fading out portions that were not covered by the grill fabric. Other than that, the condition of the cabinets, drivers, plate amp and all other components are a 9+, immaculate!

The only reason I am selling is that I stumbled on a local pair of the legendary RL Acoustique Lamhorn 1.8's and couldn't pass them up, as you'll see in the photos. Though the Lamhorns are clearly a step up, the Omegas compare extremely well. They're dynamic, expressive, warm and completely non-fatiguing. And the built in subs give great low end extension that keeps up with the speed and amazing coherence of the full range driver. An amazing value for the money.

Here's the history on this unique pair of speakers:

In November of 2014 Louis designed and fabricated what he coined the ALN65/SPEED12/COMBI level 2 finish (real wood veneer), this is the only pair in existence. They are 40”H x 14” W x 10”D weighing approximately 70lbs each. As you can see from the photos they are an active speaker with built in 250w amplifiers for the woofers. The closest speaker in the Omega line up is the Outlaw Super 7XRS, however this speaker is smaller (32"H x 14"W x 9.5"D) equipped with the 7” ferrite driver. The original retail price for these custom speakers was $4,600.

Cabinet: Partitioned. Ported fill range driver, sealed for subwoofer

Sensitivity: 96 dB at 8 ohms

Impedance: 8 ohms

Driver: 2 x Proprietary Alnico/deepOmega12

Frequency Response: 28-20kHz

Dimensions: 40"H x 14"W x 10"D

Weight: 75 lbs. each

Power Requirements: as little as 2 watts

Crossover: None, Active sub

Myself and the previous owners are/were both non-smokers. I do have a labradoodle in the house but he does not shed so there has been no dog hair flying about. Local purchase would be ideal due to weight. I do have the original shipping boxes. Buyer to pay shipping and PayPal.

If you leave them exposed to light for a while, the area that was covered will darken and match the area that wasn't covered.  It was true for zebrawood Super Alnico 7's that I had some years ago.  Eventually, you couldn't tell there was ever a difference.

Zebrawood darkens to a certain point and seems to stop.  So the covered area "catches up".

You can see in my avatar pic that I now have SAMHO's in zebrawood.  Never used grills on them.

Thank you pstrisik! I will try that while waiting for a buyer. As the difference softens I will repost pictures.
