Song Remains the Same

Maybe you haven't noticed but the CD version of Song Remains the Same is different than the video version. If you listen to the concert on dvd, blu ray or Amazon HD, one you will have all the songs that they played, with the CD version some of these songs are not included. Two, the video version has what I consider flaws in the performance on songs like No Quarter, Dazed & Confused and Whole Lotta Love. Yet on the CD version you still have the crowd.

So either the CD version was recorded on another night or perhaps the CD is another take with the crowd edited in. What do you think?

Anyway I have listened to the album countless times and I prefer the CD version because there are no mistakes in the performance from what I can tell, and that is key to my enjoyment of this album. However the video version of Moby Dick has this cool sound near the end where Bonham has his drum kit sounding like a machine. That sound is absent from the CD version. :smoke:
