I'd been looking at the X-LS but my primary purpose is Home Theater, secondary would be stereo listening. And, the placement of the Left/Right are on cabinet style shelves so not great for rear-ported speakers.

I read somewhere some people use X-CS speakers x 3 for home theater - slightly more expensive that way but in theory all 3 speakers would be nice and evenly matched. I have a sub for the lower frequencies, so not worried about the lack of a port.

3x X-CS up front would work very well.  I used to run a pair of them for 2-ch and really liked them.  Being sealed and mtm gave them good power handling and mid-bass.
