I have a pair of X-LS Encores I built about 2 years ago that I am not presently using (because I built the NX-Studios). The Encores are fully upgraded (Sonicaps, MiFlex bypass caps, tube connectors). While I love these speakers and they are in perfect condition, it seems wrong for them to sit on a shelf unused. Someone could really be enjoying these and I love building speakers in my free time so I figure I might sell these for the cost of building a new pair. $900
I live in Omaha, NE and I would rather not ship these due to the risk of damage... so local or reasonable drive time is what I am comfortable with.
A few more details about these X-LS Encores in case you are interested: They are lined with no-rez and they have the acousta-stuff polyfill in the cabinet as recommended by Danny. I built the boxes with 3/4" MDF and included internal bracing. The finish is walnut veneer that has been white stained and back sanded to provide an aged or slightly distressed look. The surface is protected with a professional grade wax instead of a polyurethane. The box finish was done by my wife who builds and restores furniture. I built grills that attach to the front magnetically.
