Post jack away!  Happy to share info even if off topic.  This is a good note on digging.  I found the above on Facebook marketplace by pure accident.

I search daily for AV123 and specific speakers like "X-Statik".  That FB Marketplace search algorithm is whacky and seems super specific.  Plus the owner put the title as AV123 & X-Static (notice misspelling).  Even though I searched independently for "AV123" and "X-Statik", the FB query did not find this one.  I just happened to search for tower speakers and it was the number three entry.

It was soooo weird!  I hope it helps others to see that find some cool speakers.

Ha ha ha Robert.. I did the same thing!  Tried every spelling.. made posts here and there. Lol. But, if you take the time, they will come! Thank you!  Lol

Did you ask Danny if he had any Voce left?

We have sold out of all the AV123 new-old stock X-Voce. We only have the kits and original crossover boards left.

I had talked to Hobbs a few months ago and the only two Voce's they had left were in moho rosa diamond, which doesn't at all match palisander.  They were pretty but won't match.

Palisander?  Is that what this color is?  I never knew the name of it.   I picked mine up second-hand also, and it came with the X-Voce and Skiing Ninja crossovers already installed.    :thumb:

Copper caps, especially the Miflex retains the clarity, but with a softer, more relaxed tone. Jupiter caps sent to be a little darker by comparison.

I really enjoy the overall tone of the Miflex caps. But itll be fun to branch out to different types of caps in the future to see how they perform. I'm almost ready to test my cheap crossovers on my NXStudios, but I also want to try the VCap ODAM as well as the Deulund bypass caps and resistors and Maybe even the wax/foil inductors.

Hobbs no steering him to those 20 lbs copper caps you used. His speakers are heavy enough!

Look at these beauties I brought home today from a semi-local Facebook Marketplace deal. These were super well taken care of.  Not Moho but quite pretty. I believe these were called Palisander natural by AV123 but I could be wrong.

Anyone got a Palisander x-voce?  LOL.

What do I need to take these to the old Ninja QXX level crossovers?  I believe I used to have foil inductors, sonicaps, mills resistors, and Sonicaps platinum bypass caps with my old QXX.

Any comparable but better options?  I will obviously add No-Rez and tube connectors.

Robert

Very envious here in OZ Robert. No such luck with FB MP and GR speakers I'm afraid. :) Unless I sell mine. Sacrilege!

Thankfully they don't come in values that large.  :P

But I'm really happy with the miflex  bypass caps and mills resistors on the X-Statiks. The mid-range is killer.

NX-Otica or NX-Tremes though... I'd do it all over again for the tweeter and mid circuits..

This one is SUPER tricky.  It could be a lighter Palisander but also could be a darker Moho without sap lines.  I've done a ton of research and believe the wood used is the same (santos rosewood) but think they used different stains to get moho and palisander.  Moho without the sap lines tends to run darker and borders on palisander natural (the color of mine in this post).

Do you have any closer/brighter pics of the three?

Thanks,
Robert

Side note.... little known fact.  I actually worked with Skiing Ninja to create the Skiing Ninja QXX crossover external rig.  I'm sure Danny did the actual XO creation but those were my speakers and my idea for the external crossover piece on the first upgraded Statik/Voce.  I had bought numerous Ninja upgraded XO's and wanted to improve my moho X-Statik's and X-Voce I had at the time.  I sent both to Ninja who took a few months to create the crossover.

I assume Danny and team actually did the XO upgrade but don't know for sure.  Ninja was going to do an external XO case for both as they were too pretty to now show off.  I came up with the plexi/copper stand off open air XO for the statik's.

I was proud of that and hated having to sell them.  I had a nasty breakup with a fiancee who decided to cheat on me and run a joint bank account super negative.  I had to sell them to get that settled.  It bummed the hell out of me back then.  Those speakers sounded amazing.

Very cool.   These speakers were formerly owned by Stephen Stone, and they were supposedly upgraded in his home by Ninja himself.  There's a thread about it in here somewhere.

And I've been there (divorce), cleaning up her messes after the fact.   That sucks.

Sorry to hear about the split.  My wife left me 3 years ago (after 23 years of marriage) and what a mess.  I'm only really now getting fully back on my feet.  Condolences man and hang in there.

Thanks man... it was 8 plus years ago so I've fortunately recovered well.  I'm thankful we didn't get married and that happened.  It could've been WAY worse.  I'm glad you are getting back on your feet.

Is this the Voce you seek?? It’s currently in use, but if you’re anywhere near Minnesota, PM me.

Update on these as I’ve been off this week and did some work with No-Rez. Took apart speakers and removed the crappy stock deadening material. I forgot how much of a pain that was. 😂.  Took like three days and a little over two sheets of no-rez. I did take my time and used a paint scraper, a heat gun, and some elbow grease. Turned out pretty well I think!
