Hi all -

I have an AVA modded Dynaco 400 that sounded awesome up until recently when one of the lights started flashing and I got a 60hz hum, coming from the assembly on the right side of the amp. I think I need to replace this component and need some help identifying it and any replacements I can find. Thanks!

Ok, so its the power transformer. Can I replace it with a different transformer so long as it meets certain specifications? Thanks for any help!

Does it play music along with the Hum? Is the hum also coming thru the speakers?

It may not be the power transformer.  It could be something in the power supply shorted that is loading the transformer down.
