Oj Devojce Pirocance - Nenad Vasilic

Track title: Oj Devojce Pirocance
Artist: Nenad Vasilic
Album title: Nenad Vasilic Vol. 1

Nenad Vasilic is a wonderfully talented and very musical bassist from Serbia, with jazz as his main genre. The music is experimental and dynamic, but also beautiful and nuanced. Here, the double bass is placed in the driver's seat.

Track title: Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen
Artist: Lucia Popp
Album title: Lucia Popp - Queen of Night, Maiden of Light

More opera, this time a very famous piece, but here with the, in my opinion, very best interpretation of the Queen of the Night I have ever heard.
This piece is often reproduced with singers who in a way have to work their way up to the very highest notes. But here Lucia Popp dances ballet up on these notes, as if it is the simplest thing in the world. Beautiful.

goodbye - Billie Eilish

Track title: goodbye
Artist - Billie Eilish
Album title: WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

The first time I heard this song, I was fascinated by the deep bass that comes in eventually. I tried to do this with my speakers, but I could not.
So at first I thought it just went improbably deep, until I checked the actual tone / frequency of the deepest tone, which is an E1 = 41.20Hz, which is not too deep for a speaker. It was not until I had learned more about Open Baffle speakers (which for me is only about a year old knowledge), and that these should be placed at least 1 meter from their back wall that I was able to reproduce deep and lifelike bass. Fun with new knowledge.

A great song by the way.

Wow, that was a great tip too. I'm sitting at the PC now, later tonight I'll listen to this, and the whole record, on the music system in my living room.

Thanks!  :D

What to do for an Asperger Lite on a Saturday night? Listening through 50 tracks of the same tune to find the one I liked best. :D

I had found this recording a long time ago, but I knew there were many more recordings of this hymn, so I thought I should find out if there are any that are better than the one I had. I came to the conclusion that it is not, not to my liking. There are many many nice, but there is always something ....

Here is a tenor singer, and on this track the voice is reproduced both in the soft and quiet, all the way up to the powerful and dynamic.
