Greetings from Texas
« on: 2 Sep 2021, 12:18 am »
Hello. I'm required to introduce myself and post thrice before contacting members privately.

My current interests are in coaxial, full range single driver, and wide-band horns to see how close we can now get to the theoretical point source without DSP.

Hoping to learn a lot here!

Also, shoutout to Mike for referring me to this forum.

Morel have or had some hi-fi coaxial drivers, for 12 or 15'' coaxial drivers see Beyma.

Welcome!

17 years ago I commissioned transmission line loaded single driver floor standers that use the "mighty" Fostex F200a driver (8 inch, whizzerless, AlNiCo, 30-20,000 Hz, 90 dB/w/m, 8 ohm, $575 each when last available, some call it the best single driver in the world).

A lot of FR fans, but what about a horn that can try to cover 200Hz-15kHz?

I'll bet it's not possible, or that it doesn't sound good.

Any horn people here???

Great to see my fellow Texans. "Yee-haw" as they say.  :thumb:

Thank you! These Beyma look great so far. The Morels don't seem to have the same on/off axis FR data that Beyma was willing to provide.  :o

Well I know nothing of horns so I cant help you much on it, Iam not a horn fan as they emit sound only to front, but I can positively rec you the Frugal Horn XL with a 6/7'' FR driver.

Our member expert in horns are Planet 10.
