Greetings from Dripping Springs, Texas

Hello fellow audio enthusiasts, I am currently putting together a pair of NX Oticas from GR research. Several months ago my brother and I took a road trip to visit Danny and audition his speakers. I had met Danny maybe 15 years prior and he had redesigned my Custom Monitor speakers from Phil Bamberg. Frankly I never was out to buy new speakers because I had been so pleased with what I had and was mostly there to support my brother in his quest for the NX Tremes. I was so impressed with the sound that I bought the NX Oticas. I am looking forward to sharing my build with the group. Now my matching 5 monitor speakers I used for 5 channel sound will be sold. If anyone is interested please contact me.

Hi Roger and welcome. We moved to Dripping Springs from Colorado in March. It’s good to know there are other music lovers close by. I would love to hear your speakers when they are finished and when it’s safe to if you don’t mind.


I have 2 flat packs of the Open baffle sub kits that Danny sells sitting in my garage waiting to be built. I hope to get around to it after all the unpacking.

Where does your brother live and did he get the Extremes?

Hello Audio Circle, I have tried to join before but did not make the 3 post to consolidate my membership. I am here mostly because of GR research and the speakers and sub I have purchased and built. Currently looking for the best spikes for my NX otica speakers. I also would like to finish my thread I started about building them.
