I'd like to thank those who unknowingly helped me to put together my new crossovers on my SVS Ultra Bookshelves.  They sound substantially better than the originals.  Well worth the work and expense.  The only real hiccup I hit was that I cut the mounting boards before taking the speakers apart and they were 1/4" too wide to fit in the woofer holes so I needed to trim an 1/8" off either side.  Thankfully I had enough room to do that.  They were surprisingly reasonable to put together for someone who is electrically challenged except for where all of the negatives are tied in.  That proved rather frustrating to get twisted well and soldered well.

Enjoying some music now and waiting for the wife to come tell me to turn it down.

Great result. Did you take any pics?

Nice to see I'm not the only one asked to turn it down.  :thumb:

I did not take pics.  I pretty much followed per the upgrade thread a few pages back except I was mounting to a slightly smaller board and mounted most items across the corners to gain more space.  I spent all morning today while the wife was out blasting the crap out of my ears (not really, I listen between 75 and 85 db).  I used to love the instrumental parts of Lofgren's Keith Don't Go but the vocals were too harsh.  NOT ANYMORE!!!  Wow!  Spent the morning listening to a lot of Dire Straits and Eric Clapton and some Rune Dale and Yo-Yo Ma.  I'm really excited by the upgrade.
