I am still excitedly waiting on my NX-treme kit. How we, Danny's video the other day on parts had me considering that the top-out at Sonicaps was likely a supply chain simplification decision, not that they were the parts Danny liked the most.

Do any folks have particular part swaps in the NX-tremes that they think are the most impactful?

Note I did search the forum history and found discussions on other models but not much on the NX-tremes. If I have missed a bigger thread, feel free to let me know.

For my NX-Otica's (basically the same speakers minus 4 bass drivers) I currently have VCAP ODAMs in the tweeter circuit bypassed with Duelund JDM Silver foil bypass caps. For the mid circuit, I have an Auricap XO in Series bypassed with Miflex copper caps. The rest of the caps are stock but bypassed with Miflex caps. Also, Foil inductors on the mid circuit and Path Audio resistors. I have not seen the NX-treme schematic so it may be a little different. By far the biggest upgrade are the tweeter caps.

I ran clarity CRM for all major caps in mine, bypassed with Jupiter, ran Jantzen & Mundorf inductors, and both Dueland and Path resistors, Path on the tweeter. A very precise and airy presentation which I very much enjoyed and often miss, did set me back almost 4K though!!
