  • I don't know what it is, but I wunt it.
I have used them in two applications and was impressed with both. I built plywood, bass reflex boxes for them and used them in my lab for test speakers. Then I mounted them in the wall, in the lab, for radio playback while I worked. Not much audiophile imaging in the second application but man do they sound like live music. I pulled them from the wall when I moved and they haven't been used in almost four years.

the basics:

-8 ohm, ceramic (or ferrite) magnet
-paper accordion suspension and whizzer cone

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Hi,
Wonder if its suited to a big or small box. Do you have the TS parameters or the freq range chart to post here or PM me?
Thanks

I sure don't Gustavo. Using Audio Nirvana designs and being familiar with Omega's, I would think anywhere between a 1.5 cu/ft and 2.5 cu/ft box would work well. I had thought about a ported, floor standing size around 2.5 cu ft would have made a nice music machine. Especially with 2 or 4 subs!

^ Thanks for the specs. Looks like I may have missed the magnet composition, ceramic not ferrite. I have updated my ad to reflect this.

I think ceramic and ferrite are the same thing.

Sure enough... "The Ferrite permanent magnet is also known as a Ceramic Magnet and even as hard ferrite magnet. ... They are known as Ceramic Magnets because they are electrically insulating".
