Welcome to AudioCircle, totte!

If your speaker cable has banana connectors then connect them to tube connector as usual.

If your speaker cable does not have bananas then replace the existing connectors with the male connectors that come with the tube connector kit. Then these insert into the tube connector.

Do the tube connectors make a noticeable difference compared to standard binding posts? Or is it only noticeable in higher end systems ?

Yes, like everything else, your perception of improvement depends on the resolution of the whole system and your listening skill.

To me they definitely sounded much better than $7 painted zinc speaker posts that they replaced, it was night and day, but those are truly awful. Tube connectors sound as good as my WBT posts. I bought them bc they were the least expensive pure copper connector with no threads. I solder them frequently and they have held up through several projects. I use them with WBT tightening bananas, not the male connectors they come with.

Check the pics posted here: https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=172291.0

And getting the banana plugs out of the signal path and replacing them with the all Copper male tube connector ends will make an improvement.
