It's the opposite. Most sound great, but there are some turkeys. These turkeys sounded fine before my system had good imaging.

It may very well be the way the recording was done (relying on a playback system that covered up their flaws) in which case there is nothing you can do about it.

Try the advise in an earlier response, see if you can find a well recorded version of one of the turkeys, likely a remaster, from a company that prides itself on quality recordings, and see if it sounds better. If it does, that's your answer. If not, more sleuthing will be required.
