I've expressed interest in a NX Otica MTM design for a center channel as well.  Hopefully enough interest can be drummed up **Praying hands emoji**

I wouldn't mind seeing that myself.  Although I'm not quite sure where I would put it.  I'm working on a set of NX-Studios... well... waiting for components at this point.  A matching center channel would be great.  Except, my current center channel is a box style, resides below the tv and is surrounded by my cabinet on all sides except the front.  An open baffle design simply won't work inside the cabinet.

And it gets tricky trying to put it out in front of the TV - the height won't be right, the sound will bounce off the tv, etc.  The tv is currently 12"+ from the wall.

So, while I like the idea, for my setup as it currently is... it just isn't feasible.  Maybe with a reconfigured setup...

Hey Guys, thought I'd chime in as I've been having this very discussion with Danny and Jay over the last week or two. I'm building a house and it will have a multi use system, both 2ch and 7.2.2 for movies with a projector. I'm planning on using a pair of NX-Treme's as L/R with a modified NX-Otica as a center. It would use the existing GR Neo 3 tweeter and the 2 M165NQ mid drivers in a horizontal configuration with two more M165 woofers at either end. Jay is working on this as a production possibility, so if anyone else thinks they might like to have a modified NX-Otica as a center please let Danny and Jay know. As for the surrounds I'll use a pair of NX Studio's. Or possibly a pair of NX-Oticas. I will have one pair of Atmos speakers, Danny suggested using his LGK 1.0 as a full range driver, as my ceiling is 18' high... I'll be suspending them in a small sealed box. Oh and a pair of quad Servo Subs.

Your ceiling is very high the LGK 1.0 is 50 watts max that won't cut it look into volt 10s from DIYSG sound group

Thanks for the info. I'll look into them.
I will be suspending the speaker from the ceiling down to about 8-9' above the listening room. So I don't think the output will be that big a deal. I'll probably experiment with various options till I find the right set up.
