neodm magnet on bp26 transformer !!
« on: 9 Nov 2021, 04:43 pm »
hi
i saw and read about rick shoultz's magnetic technology on high fidelity cables.
by cyriosity and on my endless journey on music and sound i puted a neodymium magnet on top of bp26 metal chassis at about the center of the plitron trans.
i have clean system and revealing speakers (wilson sophia2), and i think after that i am hearing a little more quiet sound and definition with less hash. !!!
Is that possible or is it just placebo ?
anyone with science  or electronic proofs about that?
sorry for my english
thanks .regards
babis

A few years a go when I repaired condos intercoms many magnets left over from damaged speakers so I used them inside CD players trafos and as CD clamp, also in top of amps trafos, they were Ferrite donuts not Neo.

Place an magnet outside over the cabinet cover will no make much difference due the cover metal shielding, try inside direct over the Toroidal, use donut shape in the center.

Toroidals with strong shieldings will have small effect YMMV.

The reply above only takes into account the affect of the magnetic field directed to the transformer.  There are other possible effects on the stray radiation that is basically now everywhere (particularly  around digital equipment). and that may be the case becoming a better 'trap' for such radiation. and that may be a reason for better sound with the magnet on the case.
Magnetic fields do bend and trap electromagnetic spectrum radiation.
