good morning.
i came across this site when searching for some info on a set of onix rockets i picked up for a song.

i have a set of excellent condition onix rocket rs750 signatures and the bigfoot center signature.

i was was looking to upgrade the capacitors in them and adding some norez lining.

i heard that these could greatly benefit from upgraded caps and heard that there was a member on here that was involved in the crossover development?

anyone know what caps and values i should be looking for in these?

thanks,
apollo

Early B.

Danny can help, here is his own page on the forum.  Danny's shop isn't that far from Dallas. :thumb:

I used to own those same Rockets. :)

Awesome,
Yeah, looks like it’s about 2-3 hours from here.
I’ll shoot him a message once I have enough posts.
I like the sound overall, but I heard that upgrading the caps can be a pretty big improvement.

Wonder if he will be at lone star audiofest?

Sweet, thanks!

Never been to lone star audio fest before.

Been thinking of doing a diy kit, but had never had a chance to hear any yet, and figured l.s.a.f. Would be a chance to check some out.

Thanks everyone, I’ll shoot him a message when I get the ability.

Danny specializes in DIY kits, check out his site. He has a lot of new stuff not listed on the website.
I sold off my Rockets and built one of Dannys kits.

I'm not sure, but I believe the number on his website is the business (land) line to his office/shop so I'm not sure sending a text will go through.

I'd suggest giving him a call (I know talking on the phone is getting to be old school, but it works!), email, a PM (once you have enough posts to PM him), or just as easy put a post up in his circle introducing yourself and reaching out.  Unless something happened last week that I'm unaware of, he is absolutely in business (and busy to boot!), but will always make time to help.

Welcome to AC!

Hi, I think you are right.... the number maybe a land line.  Anyway, I emailed him through his GR-research.com website.  Danny confirmed with me he was the one that designed the upgrade skiing ninja crossover for this speaker.  The problem is Danny stated that he can sell me the kit's COMPONENTS (bunch of capacitors, resistors....), and I will have assemble them myself!!.  While I can solder here and there a little... I dont have the knowledge, experiences, and capable to assemble the complete circuit board from scratch.  Even my local tv repair shop refuse to do this job (liability, I guest).... They are happy to replace few components here and there.  I preferred to buy a completed/finished build crossover.  I know it is far fetch... but does anybody by chance have a skiing ninja crossover for the Onix Rocket RS750 for sale??  I will also post this question on the other sections....
