Power Cord?

I recently watched the video(among others) where Danny talks about the power cord he offers. I'd be interested in hearing about anyone's experience with it.

I have one of the early prototypes that went out. Only gotten about 2-3 hours to play around so far, but hoping i can get some more play time in the next week and collect some more thoughs.

My setup was mostly music played from my phone via Bluetooth to a PS Audio Sprout 100.
I have Dannys 16-strand speaker cable, a pair of servo sub stands, and mostly stock XLS, with Tube connector upgrade.
Speakers are about 6 feet into the room, 3 feet from the side walls. & roughly 6 feet between them.

Of my upgrades so far, the tube connectors added lots of clarity and detail over the stock binding posts. The upgraded speaker cable added lots of width and a fair bit of depth, but not huge.
So far, those were the biggest upgrades to my rig.

When it came to the power cable, I wasnt noticing as much benefits, but there were times when the benifits were immediate and massive, and times where they werent there at all.

When it was noticable, the depth and spaciousness of the soundstage was huge, to the point where some songs almost felt like there were speakers playing begind me. But of the songs I played that night, it was maybe only 4-5 songs out of the 30 where there was a noticable difference.

That said, it came down to the quality of the music, not just in bitrate/resolution, but in the mixing/mastering process.
If you're just listening to YouTube/Spotify your results will be hit or miss, esp depending on the genre and the mixing/mastering.
My plan the next time i get to listen, I want to use a direct connection, playing directly from CDs or a PC, so i can test with non compressed playback, as well as some high rez uncompressed Chesky stuff I have.

All that to say, if there are other things in your signal path that can still be upgraded, I'd would recommend those be done first.
(Along with the free things, like room placement)

But if your system is at that point or better, and you have a high quality library to explore, then it's definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

I’ve been using the B16 since December, replacing a Cardas Twinlink PC - I have leveraged primarily on my Streamer. It needs a number of hours on it to open up (I noticed changes until I had +200 hours on it). The change was fairly noticeable to my ears, as it provided a lot more soundstage depth and weight, and removed the forwardness in the 5k-10k Hz region that is fatiguing for me. I tried it on my DAC and SACD player with similar results.
