VMPS RM40's---Anyone have a set to audition?

I am currently considering a pair of RM 40's, but would like to know if anyone in the Ft Worth side of town may have a pair and would be kind enough to accomodate maybe an hours worth of auditioning? And of course, give me your own perspective! I would be willing to travel all over DFW, but since I live in N Ft Worth, its a matter of convenience! If you are open to this idea, please post a response here or PM me. Thanks for your consideration! Mark

Regarding your poll, maybe I should vote 4 times, since I use 4 LARGER Subs

I responded to your question in the Starters Circle

Welcome to AC, Mark, and the NTAJ - glad to have another member on the Fort Worth side of the Metroplex!

I've tried to find an RM30 audition in the DFW without success, but I know of at least one pair of RM40's.  Xi-Trum  was kind enough to let me audition his pair up in Frisco.  If I recall correctly, his pair is one of the original design in piano black with the TRT upgrade.  The original design had spiral ribbon tweeters instead of the newer, improved FST.  He was driving them with a pair of Ampzilla 2000's in a very well treated room.  I think he also had a Larger Sub, but it wasn't hooked up at the time.  I haven't seen him post in a while, but you might want to send him a PM.

Good luck!  Let us know if you run across a pair closer to Fort Worth!

Xitrum lives in your area and he has both the RM40s plus the larger sub.  I am pretty sure he will be willing to let you check the RM40 out.

If you plan to be down in Austin any time soon you can listen to the ones that we have in the demo room. Full-wrap light-oak veneer, FST, and Auricaps.  These are for sale so if you bring a truck you can take them home with you once you get finished listening to them ;-).
