I've only had a few hours to listen to mine so far, tho that should increase soon, now that one of my housemates has moved out and i can have my listing space back.
Do they make a difference? Yup! But most times I'm hitting a bottleneck, many of the songs I listen to regularly arent recorded/mixed/mastered in a way where there's much left to get out of them. Some songs that have a lot of fun spatial cues is where the power cords made the most difference, Rush's instrumental track "La Villa Strangiato" is a perfect example, where the scale of this song, not just in depth, but also in height are massive.
Another is "Write My Life" by Out of the Grey, where the first half of the song isnt particularly interesting, but at the end, the singer's voice sounds like its wrapping around you as it shifts around.
Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" is another fantastic piece to show where the differences lie.
I'm really excited to expand my personal library with new songs & higher quality versions, along with using more local storage to play music rather than over bluetooth.
But it's wild to find that something I knew would
eventually beome a weekness, has finally become THE primary weakness...

Its been an incredibly interesting and fun journey, and im excited to see where it takes all of you as well!
