That’s quite a complicated question, I bought the Revel F226be because I felt that the BMR was not dynamic enough especially for movies. I was hoping it would be an upgrade in there and it definitely was, its more lively and dynamic for sure. The issue is that for whatever reason it does not sound as good to me as the BMR in my living room with music. I have tried it other rooms in the house and compared it. I also listened to it at a friends house and at a dealer. It sounded fantastic everywhere besides the intended room, I was honestly blown away by how good it sounded everywhere else.

So I am quite upset by the whole situation, the likely culprit as to why it doesn’t sound good in my room is that my couch/listening position has huge floor to ceiling windows across the whole wall.

I think the F226be is objectively the better speaker and subjectively I i like it better in every room, except not in the room I purchased it for. To clarify, the BMR is fantastic and I love it. It is definitely comparable to the Revel and I think it sounds good in any room with no EQ whatsoever. Also, the size of the soundstage the BMR produces is unbelievable, truly something special.

1st great speaker you are selling. 2nd not to get off topic, I completely understand where you are coming from!  I have had the same issue and sold speakers because they did not sound good in the room they were bought for but, the other rooms in the house, they sounded great.  Amazing how much room acoustics can make or break a speaker.

I'm glad you have found the best setup for your room.  And it also speaks pretty highly of the $1,500 vs. $7,000 speakers' performances.  Thanks for the information.  GLWS...Revel makes great loudspeakers.
