« on: 29 Jan 2021, 06:04 pm »
Hello everyone,
My name is Adam, I am from Czechia alslo known as Czech Republic. By the way, I do not kndow what is officially correct. Czechia is shorter so I tend to use it.

My communication skils are limited. If you see any grammar mistake in my comments, let me know. It will be desired positive feedback for me.

Welcome to AudioCircle, Adam!

I met a man from Pilsner once, back in 2000, at IT training in Massachussetts, USA.
He was very proud of his new country and how well it was growing.
He took pity on me when I said "Pilsner like the beer?"

Thank you. Yes, everybody remember Pilsner beer rather than name of the town. In our country, If we are ordering Pilsner beer we say "One Plzeň please." -Plzeň is the name of the town where Pilsner Urquell beer is produced.

Hello Adam and welcome to AudioCircle!

My wife and I visited Prague in May, 2019 and fell in love with your country. St. Vitus Cathedral was stunning!

Cheers!

I was there in June of 2019. That whole area of Hradčany Castle was amazing.

Hi Michael, I recognized it almost instantly and I like it. In Czech I would say: My blood type.  :)

Thank you,
Yes Vitus Cathedral is amazing. Once upon a time we were able to do good things... Unfortunately the passed communists era have still very negative impact to our country. But things are changing we are on the right way again. :)

Welcome!

Wife and I cruised the Baltic two years ago, so missed Czechia but did visit other former Soviet block countries.  Recovery will be slow, especially during CoVid.  But East Germany and Russia seem to have done the best so far from what we saw.  We have a relatively large and strong Czech population here (mid/lower-Michigan).
