SSD drive
« on: 22 Jan 2021, 02:58 pm »
Hi all,
Replace my 8 years old WD passport 500 gb with an SSD Sandisk extreme 1 Tb external drive on my BDP-1 and eve thing is working perfectly except the playlist I had saved.  I have copied all the music file from the old drive to the new one, but I have not copied the file in root directory, which file I have to transfer from the drive to the new one to have he playlistto work or do I have to reconstruct each playlist.  I have kept the same file structure from the old drive on the new drive for all flac files.  Also, the sound quality seem to be better on the SSD drive, in fact I find it to be more musical, I prefer the new drive very happy with the result. Hope to able to have access to all playlist saved on the old drive.  Thank,
Gilles

Hi Gilles,

Long time hope your doing well?

My first guess is the drives don't share the same name, if the path isn't identical then the playlists will stop functioning.

Hi Chris,
I have rename the new drive the same as the old one, but it is not working.  Eve thing else works wonderfully, the SSD drive is way faster, I should have bought one sooner. I stil see the playlist content in Rigelian but it does not play, I will be able reconstruct the playlist that I really want. is the playlist saved in the interface or on the drive itself.  Thanks
