Hello everyone! I registered at this site about a half year ago and never got around to posting my introduction. I am 67 years old now (sheesh!) and am re-introducing myself to the hobby and to the love of music and gear. I am now semi-retired and only working less than 10 hours a week out of the house. I managed to keep all my vintage equipment with me through several moves over the years and it is all in fairly good condition. My first system was purchased in 1971 when I was only an 18 year old rock and roll dude. It included a Harmon Kardon 930 receiver, a Dual 1229 turntable with Shure M91ED cartridge and Marantz Imperial 7 speakers. About 8 years later I added a set of Bose 901 Series 3 speakers. Another decade later and I added a new Pioneer receiver and a Technics SL-6 turntable when my Dual began acting up. Lately, I have had a mild restoration performed on the Harmon Kardon receiver to get to functional status and am looking to get the Dual refurbished for regular use. I am also in the process of replacing the foam surrounds in the Bose 901's as they deteriorate over the years and it is a common problem. I have also recently purchased some headphones (Phillips Fidelio X2HR) and a hybrid tube amp that I use to drive them. An Echo Link has been incorporated to stream my Amazon Music library collection. I have been watching a lot of Youtube video reviews by a number of the common reviewers including Danny Ritchie and that keeps me hungry for more improvements!.
