Hi all, have been following A/C for over 5 years and am amazed at how much support is available from online audio forums.
I’m pretty happy with changes made to my system, thanks to reviews and discussion; but am getting a little too old to continue on the upgrade path.
The biggest challenge in the next few years will be to shrink the system of separates into integrated components without compromising the SQ.
I think the biggest improvements have come from new speakers (Magnepan 0.7; and now JM Reynaud Abscisse Jubile) and new DACs (Schiit Yggdrasil; and now Holo Audio KTE May).
You can see from the pic below that my system is part of our home theatre system; and it is in a living/ dining area adjacent to our kitchen, so it never gets dead quiet at any time. I’m thankful that my mate and I share a love of the same music (mostly acoustic: folk, jazz, blues and classical).
.....and you can see that, like a lot of fellow audiophiles, it’s nice to have a couple of Oriental rugs in the house.
