Well, it might look like a dinosaur, but it sure doesn't sound like one. If you're still a dedicated Redbook listener, as I've been, this Qute has that Chord magic. When used via coax or optical (the latter preferred by Chord designer Rob Watts), it's tough to beat for the price.

In May, I bought an RME ADI-2 FS only to return it when I concluded, for my purposes, it was not better than the Qute fed by an external drive loaded with AIFF files.
Now things have changed. Out of pandemic boredom, I am moving away from AIFF, my external drive and the Qute for hi-rez and Qobuz.
Note: the Qute can still do 192khz over optical.
