Hello,

Just the requisite introduction: I'm new to the whole audio scene, but very interested and hoping to learn a few things, as well as acquire some decent equipment.  Hoping I can find some help here and eventually constructively contribute!

Welcome!

Lots to consider:

- budget (there's never been a better time to get into audio if going digital)

- proposed listening environment (ideally not small/squarish, dedicated, and well insulated)

- format (vinyl or streaming which is much easier/cheaper/more convenient)

- education (learn the terms, your tastes, favorite genres, audio basics)
