Golde Tube Audio SEP-2 and Introductio
« on: 6 Jun 2024, 03:05 pm »
Ok, I am the owner of a sep-2 GTA preamp with remote since about 2004. I can not find any info anywhere - do not have a user manual or service manual. Lately a few issues so thought I would try here. I am an individual, elderly, can do my own repairs to a point, own several components such as DBX units including a 20/20, Cary CAD-572-3 monoblocks, Nakamichi PA-7, Sanui BA-3000, B&O Tangential turntable, ++++

Trying to figure out how to get access to search, warning tells me to introduce myself. This is me. I am not a very active poster, do not hang on any site very long but do visit occasionally. I do have manuals on the DBX + and am willing to share what I can. Other than that, not sure how I could be of much help. But one never knows. Most likely every starts looking for something - here I am.

If this doesn't work, then ok, thanks.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Greetings & Welcome to AC Clark  :thumb:  Just post a couple of replies in your intro thread and you'll be good to search. Or start a thread in the Tube-o-phile Circle here - https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=144.0 with your question. Not familiar with the specific unit, so don't know the difference between it & the sep-1, but here's a link to the hifiengine site manual for that model. You will have to register to download it.  https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/golden-tube-audio/sep-1.shtml

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Welcome to AC. Some years ago Sonic Craft...on this forum... offered an upgrade kit on the GTA SE 40 amp. Don't know anyone who has owned the preamp, so pls keep us posted on the repair attempt. Back in the 80s, I owned a  B & O 4002 I believe, but ended up selling it as the arm would no longer raise and lower.
