Reluctantly selling my entire system until I can build out a dedicated listening room in my basement.

1. Don Sachs Tube MM Phonostage in Cherry.  I bought this new from Don a few months ago and it is in mint condition save for a tiny hairline scratch on the side of the case.  Cherry wood finish.  This is MM only so you will have to use it with an external SUT if you are using an MC cart.  Paid $1350 for it.  Asking $1200 shipped, with no wait.

2.  Mint Don Sachs Preamp 2 in Walnut.  I bought this from the original owner who never used it, so it is also in mint 'as-new' condition.  Shuguang Black Treasure CV181-T tubes, Dueland wiring, 6BY5 rectifier, Khozmo attenuator, and Polish oil cap on Output 1.  The 0.47 uF cap will drive any amp >=80K input impedance.  Does *not* include XLR inputs.  Asking $2.1k shipped.

3.  Mint Don Sachs Kootenay KT88 Power Amp in Walnut.  This amp was just upgraded to the current spec by Don.  This includes the delayed soft-start for the tubes, lower bias, as well as new top-of-the-line oil caps.  Includes a quartet of Gold Lion Cryo-treated KT88s, plus three Shuguang Black Treasure KT88s, and three Shuguang "Penta" KT88s.  The CV-181 driver tubes are Shuguang Black Treasures as well.

These amps are about $4k new after paypal fees and shipping, plus a 3-4 month wait.  Asking $3.3k shipped in CONUS.

Needless to say, these are the finest components you can buy at any price, and a steal at these prices.  Hurry, before I change my mind.  All payments will be via Paypal for our mutual protection.

Best,
Chris

Some pictures would be helpful.

Do you know the size of the output capacitors in the preamp?

Thanks for all the inquiries, but I’m putting the sale on hold for now as Clayton at Spatial Audio seems confident that his open baffle design will work well in my room.

Yes, OB can neutralize a lot of room anomalies for sure.  Good luck!  It would be a shame to get rid of all this awesome equipment only to have to buy it all back again after building out your dream room!

Your equipment with either the X or M series is gonna sound great.   I've got the same with X-5's and it's a winner.

I would love to hear the combo of Don Sachs driving Clayton's speakers.  Clayton is a straight shooter.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty excited to see what the M3s can do!

As requested, here are a few pics and detailed specs on the preamp. The power amp was updated by Don to current spec last month.
