Wonderfully musical ARC Reference 110 power amp with very rare KT150 tube upgrade.
You'll see the occasional Ref 110 for sale, and every once in awhile a Ref 110 running KT120's. This is a KT150 version, a step up in performance and power over the base Ref 110.
The amp is in fine condition, no serious marks on the faceplate and some small rubs/scratch marks on the top plate. There are a couple screws missing from the cover.
Tubes have minimal use from being replaced (matched spec tubes from ARC) but the hour meter has not been reset, which I believe is a factory tech job.
I've used the amp for only a few weeks since purchasing it as a used trade-in from my local dealer, and it has worked flawlessly driving several different speakers.
The detail, transparency, and resolving power of the amp is world-class and it throws a big soundstage with Dunlavy SC-III and the Sonus Faber Cremona M's (also for sale).
I've also used it with NHT 2.9's which benefit from plenty of juice and it sounds wonderful. With properly setup speakers the soundstage is cavernous front to back and the speakers do a great disappearing trick.
I do not have the original box, but I received a quote a couple weeks back from ARC and it can be had for $260+ shipping, if you want the box at some point. If you prefer me to purchase the box and ship the amp to you in the new box, then the price below would be plus $280
I will package it safely and it will be fully insured.
I will include a free 6' Cardas Golden Ref 20a PC ($750+) if my asking price is met.
I'll also subsidize shipping costs at my asking price, and go with a fixed $110 anywhere in the contiguous US. It's almost certain to be more than this with insurance but I'll cover the extra. If it's less, I'll refund the difference. I'll also cover PP fees at my more than fair asking price.
I'll consider offers but I won't include the power cord and we'll have to look at fees and shipping costs based on your offer.
Lastly, ARC built a couple models of Reference series power amps, which could be factory upgraded to allow running of KT150's. These were then given the 'SE' designation. The Reference 110 however required no modification to run with KT150's, they can be fitted as standard provided the tubes themselves meet factory specs.
