I was saving up for an LTA ZOTL 40 Reference Amp and came across an opportunity to purchase an Ultralinear that I couldn't pass up. I've had the UL amp for a bit and it sounds fantastic. Can't believe the bass slam out of 20wpc and it is dead silent, detailed, spacious and sounds great. However, my speakers are 85db efficient and while this amp sounds great I still really want to get the ZOTL 40 -- plus EL-34's are my favorite sounding tube. I would see with efficient speakers (like Spatials or Devore) this would be an endgame amp. However, I'm not changing speakers anytime soon. So, if you have a ZOTL 40 and want to trade let me know. The amps have the same MSRP so I'm looking for an even swap. I'd be willing to pay shipping for both amps. I also might have some NOS 12au7 and 12ax7 tubes I could add as a sweetner. I did enquire with LTA about trading in, but it would cost me more and I just bought this amp. It sounds good enough that I could easily live with it indefinitely while waiting to see if anyone wants to trade. If you're interested let me know. BTW, the amp is in excellent condition and I couldn't see any blemishes on it. Looks new to me.
