I have the regular X-LS bookshelf & mine is paired with a Rythmik L12 servo-sub and the PS Audio Sprout 100.
It's a killer combo, esp for the price/size.

It's not as fancy as some integrated amps that can connect to the internet/radio, but it's got Bluetooth/Digital/USB & even a solid phono preamp.

I know others may offer up some other ideas, but I'm really happy with the choice! :thumb:

I have a Schiit Vidar and its reasonable. I think someone here on the forum has a Schiit Aegir with some of Danny's speakers.

I kinda have a chip amp or a modwright amp in the back of my mind to try.

I’ve driven them with receivers (50w/ch), tube amps (18-125w/ch), as well as a few other solid state amps.  They’re pretty easy going speakers and mate well with all of them.

What other electronics are you using?

I had Quad303 back then. I used to have a bose lifestyle 5 which I gave to my ex wife durring my seperation.  The bose was somewhat good but didnt acheeve what the quad could deliver. So now i have only a small shoebox Audio Pro Addon T3. I plan to have something good at a fair price and try to acheeve a clear sound with nice sound stage for classical and jazz.  I will do the X-SLS with all upgrades including miflex caps bypass on tweeter caps.

I might give a try to the DIY Neurochrome 86 recomended by richidoo or the Akitika GT-102 recomended by maty. But if so, I will need a DAC with bluetooth and volume control.  If not, I will probably go with the PS-Audio Sprout 100.

I know little about tube amp, which one could drive them?
